Lepp&Nagel Publishers was established in 2003 with the aim to bring to Estonian readers a world famous Scribbles-book by Japanese illustrator and author Taro Gomi. We followed it up by publishing the book in Finland and Sweden as well.

Next, we took on publishing Estonian children's folk songs. The first CD Sõit Sõõrule (2009) is the favorite of many a toddler in Estonia. The next CD Sõit-sõit-sõit külla (2011) presented famous folk singers performing together with their kids. The third CD in the series, Ise ilutegija, was published in May 2016.

In 2011 a fruitful cooperation with a novelist Paavo Matsin began. Until now we have published three of his books. Dr Schwarz or 12 Keys of Alchemy (2011) was nominated as the best debut of the year. The Blue Guard (2013) enjoyed the praise by critics and a wider audience alike. The adventures of the book take place in Riga, Latvia. Hence, the book will soon be published in Latvian, too. Paavo Matsin's third book The Gogol Disco (2015) won the 2016 Literary Prize by Estonian Cultural Endowment as the best prose. The first, second and third print run of The Gogol Disco were quickly sold out. The fourth batch has reached the Estonian book shops just now. Ask for it!

The Gogol Disco is being translated to Finnish, Hungarian and Bulgarian languages. It inspired a series of dance events  being organised in Viljandi annually since 2016. In June 2017 a stage play by the same name will be premiered in Viljandi state drama theatre Ugala. Tickets to the play are almost sold out months before: http://www.ugala.ee/lavastus/gogoli-disko/
